ties and comfort

I continue to be baffled when a man finds ties uncomfortable. In talking further about it, it usually comes out that what's uncomfortable is the shirt rather than the tie. It's just that usually men wear shirts without buttoning the top button. Putting the tie around it makes little difference.

So then the thing to do is get a shirt that fits comfortably, not too loose or tight, just right.

To me, in the right shirt, wearing a tie just feels right, to the extent that I don't feel quite right without one.
