  Happy Labor Day!

    No matter what holiday, Americans often make it into "Relax with fam and eat and drink Day."   That's great....

    But it's worth noting that Labor Day didn't originally mean "a day off from our labors, you and me."   It meant "a day when Labor (as opposed to management and executives) gets a day off."

    And it's worth noting that "a day off" didn't mean just "relax with fam," but "go to meetings and vote and get organized."

    The result?   2-day weekends, 8-hour workdays, overtime pay, breaks, safety standards, and child labor laws.

    We need Labor Day.
